A small gesture turns boredom into joy.
A child spends the afternoon at his grandmother's house. Everything seems still: the room is dull, grandma is asleep in the armchair, the dog lies there without energy. The child, too, is visibly bored.
Then a Chupa Chups appears. The child tastes it. Grandma, still sleepy, takes hers. Even the dog joins the game.
When all three of them taste the Chupa Chups, something changes. The room lights up. Colours explode, objects come to life, and what a moment earlier was an ordinary, monotonous space turns into a playful, unpredictable pop universe.
Taste the Joy starts from a simple contrast: a world without energy and the same world crossed by pleasure.
At first, grandma's house represents everyday life at its most still. The child is bored, grandma sleeps, the dog seems to share the same apathy. Desaturated tones and a suspended atmosphere build a place where nothing seems able to happen.
The Chupa Chups becomes the element that breaks this stillness. When child, grandma and dog taste it, pleasure does not remain an individual experience: it spreads through the space. Colours, shapes and matter gradually transform the room, visually translating the energy of the product.
The film thus turns Chupa Chups into a perceptual switch that can make a completely ordinary moment extraordinary.
Taste the Joy.
The people behind every frame.
